HA-HA! I bet you all thought we were gone forever! Well, you're just not that lucky. :) The last year has been CRAZY around here and, sadly, neither one of us bothered to keep up blogging. I'm not even going to try to rehash the last 12 months but here's a little bit from the last few months just to get things rolling again. Hopefully, now that things are settling down - or at least getting back to the normal amount of chaos - we can put things like blogs back on the list.
The biggest thing that has happened is we bought our first house! We are very excited about this - especially after the year long wait we had to get it. It's a good thing we love it because this experience is not one we wish to repeat. Buying a short sale is definitely everything it is accused of being and then some but we survived and we are loving it! I realized I haven't taken any pictures of the house specifically since we moved in so here are a couple from last summer when we originally offered on it. I'll try to get some of the inside up here soon.

Yes, that is a really great park in our back yard! Walking trails, play ground, wetlands, open grassy areas and a gate in our fence leading right to it. The kids are in heaven.

Kaden turned three last month and we had quite a time filling his special cake order. He wanted four cakes! Never mind any presents - as long as he had a Buzz cake, a Woody cake, a GI Joe cake and a rainbow cake he was happy! We managed to get it all in (the rainbow part is in the cake itself....rainbow chip....and even had some room leftover for his last minute request of McQueen. Phew!
Somehow Emily is managing to receive nourishment in spite of her lack of teeth! She has lost so many teeth the last year and they're not coming in anywhere near as fast as they are coming out! This could be due to the fact that, at the first inkling that something is loose, she goes to work wiggling it. It usually takes her about 2 days to get it loose enough to hand off to Steve who pulls it out completely! We took this picture last week and it's already out of date! She lost another on Monday!
This one's a bonus - it just shows his personality exactly! I love it!
